Job Title: Research Assistant
Duty Station : Dhaka
Essential Qualifications:
  • Post Graduate degree preferably in Jute and allied fibers/Textiles/Economics/Development Studies/Environmental science etc. Applicants still enrolled for any degree shall not be considered.
  • Excellent command on oral and written English language with correct use of grammar and communication skill.
  • Excellent knowledge/experience in doing field and material based research, project formulation and implementation. Report writing and presentations.
  • Very good knowledge of ‘Microsoft Word’, ‘Excel’ ,‘Power Point’ and other essential applications.
  • Hard working, positive minded and having willingness to take additional responsibilities.
  • At least one year working experience in research activities in some reputed organization.
  • Candidates with any kind of exposure in jute/kenaf and allied sector shall be preffered.
Disqualification:
  • Canvassing of any kind.
  • Readymade CV’s and CV’s not as per prescribed guideline shall not be considered.
Service conditions
i) Salary: Between 25,000 to 40,000 Tk depending on qualification/experience and abilities of the candidate.
ii) The nature of job:  The nature of job is purely temporary (about six month’s contract)

Additional Requirements:

Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital is the oldest and largest multispecialty referral eye hospital in Bangladesh. It is a non-profit organization. The emphasis is on quality eye care for all socio-economic sections of society. We are currently looking for an experienced, energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic Director, Accounts and Finance based in Dhaka. This will be a Senior Management Position who will be playing a vital role in the overall restructuring and reorganizing the department as well as throughout the organization. Should be able to lead and monitor the department work with a strong vision and strategy.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and controlling of overall Accounts and Finance
  • Responsibility to lead Accounts, Finance team
  • Maintain Accounting System
  • Monitor Accounts receivable and payable
  • Fund, Donation and Risk management
  • Business plan and Budgeting
  • Deal with Income tax and VAT
  • Internal/External Audit
  • Bank Statement reconciliation
  • Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas
  • Budget preparation, Fund allocation, execution and keeping budgetary control

Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience including 4 years in a Managerial position preferably in any Hospital.
  • ACA/ACCA/FCA/MBA in Accounting and Finance (IBA/NSU).
  • Familiar with Automated and Integrated Financial Management Software (like Tally /or ERP.)
  • Strong Finance and Cash flow prediction skills
  • Experience in working with Hospital is preferable

We are looking for a group of fresh graduates who are willing to work with children, their community and local government authorities for facilitating Child Centered Community Development (CCCD) Approach. The CCCD is a core approach of Plan where children take the lead for identifying their issues, prioritizing their agenda, involving their community, participating in the social mobilization process and sharing their achievement within and outside their community.
To take part in this CCCD process you must have:
  • Masters (result must be published in 2012 or later) or equivalent qualification preferably in Social Science, Anthropology, Development Studies, Statistics or Mass Communication and Journalism;
  • a natural ability to facilitate children group and their community;
  • Willingness to be stationed at upazilla level in Gazipur (Sreepur), Lalmonirhat (Hatibandha), Dinajpur (Khansama), Nilphamari (Jaldhaka) district.
  • willingness to learn and drive motorbike for field visits; and
